1.The 2010 Shanghai International Chinese Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament will be held at Qing Pu District in DianPu River on September 10-14.

20 Dragon Boat Teams who gets the invitation by the organizing committee.

6.Racing Events and Categories:

Mixed category Standard Small Racing Boat

250m Straight Speed Race Open

500m Straight Speed Race Open

7.Racing rules:

7.1 The race executive by Dragon Boat Racing Regulations which approved by the State Sport General Administration.(can be inquired on Chinese Dragon Boat Association Website: http://dragonboat.sport.org.cn/)

7.2 The boats will be provided by the Organizing Committee. The participants can bring and use their own paddles, which should meet the requirements of Chinese Dragon Boat Association rules and be the same color within the team.The rudder is in fixed style.

7.3 Each team is requested to wear the racing uniform with same color and style.

7.4 Female contestants must not be less than 4 paddlers.

7.5 Racing method and Lot-drawing.

7.5.1 The Race will include preliminary, a Semi-Final and a Final. (Four lanes will be set up for the use of the race.).

7.4.3 The lot drawing of 500m straight heat is processed during the meeting for head referee、team leaders and coaches. The lanes and the boat number will be determined by Lot-drawing 30 minutes prior to the race at the Examiner point.

8.Eligibility of Athletes:

8.1 The participants should provide a healthy certificate issued by hospital and can swim with clothes on for at least 200 m.

8.2 The athletes should have the Accidental Insurance and should ware life vest while racing. (Or the team Leader can sign a declaration stating not to wear.)

9.Participation:

9.1 Each team shall comprise the following 16 persons: 1 team leader, 1 coach, 12 athletes (including 1 drummer, 1 steersman), and 2 substitutions.

9.2 Participate in the competition of non-Chinese players are not more than 1 / 3.

9.3 The teams from abroad should bring 2 national/regional flags to be hanging in the venue and to be used in the public ceremonies.

9.4 Please provide TWO 2'' size photos of each participant and hand in together with the Final Entry Form or at the Reception to the Competition Committee for accreditation and Roll Call Card.

10.Ranking in the competition and Awards:

10.1 According to the total score (results of 250m and 500m straight lane speed race), the first 6 teams (if the total score ties, 500m winner will be in the front) will be awarded trophies, certificates of award and prize money. The prize distribution is as follows (RMB):

10.2 The rest teams will get trophies, certificates of attendance and prize money RMB 8000.

11.Confirmation and Entry:

11.1 Please confirm your intention of participation before 10st of July. The name list and the photos of each participant should be submitted before 10th of August.

11.2 Please fax or mail the confirmation letter and name list to Shanghai Dragon Boat Association.

12.Expenses:

12.1For the initiatory teams abroad, the air transportation expense of arriving and departing from Shanghai should be borne by the teams themselves. The committee will spends the local expenses that including accommodation, transportation and sightseeing from 10th to 14th September in Shanghai.

12.2 In case of early arrival or late departure and supporters, all expenses should be borne by the team itself. If you need he committee to help reception, the expenses is RMB400/day/personal.
